Organizing my collections

Collection: Comic Books

I want to be able to access my comics and graphic novels, so that I can easily browse and search for specific attributes using a database and by tagging a digital version of the artifact.
It would also be used to track and record values as well as related literature.

The goal is to be able to understand the collection as a cultural artifact; the characters, the stories and the visual dynamics that propel the story. Comic books are an ongoing uttering of the subconscious collective mind.

Mom's memory cuff

I took a metal working class last winter and learned lots of interesting things about metal. If you have the right tools you can do just about anything with it.

This bracelet is made from a strip of annealed copper which I rolled with a plastic mesh vegetable bag for texture. It was compressed in a huge hydraulic press to give it the concave shape and then darkened with liver of sulfur.

I mounted a found bottle cap with wire and attached Mom's photo (when she was 17) in the center.
